Princess of Wales funds hospital ship for Red Cross

The Princess of Wales has donated the remainder of a fund raised during the London campaign of 1885 for equipping a hospital ship. A committee including Viscountess Wolseley Lady Wantage and the Marchioness of Lansdowne will designate the ship. Arrangements aim to acquire the British steamer Midnight Sun, to be renamed Princess of Wales.
