J M McCarthy Jr claimed victory in the eleventh Irving Milburn road race with a time of 1 hour 16 minutes 40 seconds.

165 starters competed in the twelfth annual road race. Joseph Ringl of the Pizen club took first with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes 38 seconds. W. B. Ferguson of Woodlawn club finished second and Gus Hefling of Lake View third. Time prize winner Orlando Adams had a clocking of 1 hour 8 minutes 69 seconds. judges to decide the time prize.

Mrs Amanda R Rodebaugh died at 1 am at 127 Chestnut street from cancer after two years of illness. She was born May 9 1856 in the county and leaves her husband four children Oscar Lottie Lillie and Florence plus a Rock Grove stepfather. Funeral from the house at 10 am with Rev Bovey. Cedarville Cemetery. Henry Staas 71 died at his Lancaster township home from stomach cancer. Born in Germany he had lived 80 years in the state leaving a widow and four children Mrs Scott Deaner Mrs Gus Schelp Dora and Harry. Funeral at 2:30 pm from the house and 3 pm at Young's church with Rev Holke. Gibler orchestra to play for Go-Home-Early club tonight and at St Marys hall.
