Manila May 11. A force of 500 insurgents attacked twenty-five scouts of the Forty-Eighth regiment near San Jacinto in Vangan sinan province Monday but were routed. Ten rebels killed. Americans suffered two dead. Earlier April 26 rebels burned Trocin near Buan, killing locals friendly to Americans and two Spaniards. Americans killed thirty-seven insurgents. Major Andrews with two companies attacked Mojicas' stronghold near Ormue Leyte ishind. after three hours the insurgents fled. Americans lost two killed and eleven wounded. Stores and rifles were destroyed.
