Dr C M Wright of Blaine Illinois extols Tallerday's Female Tonic as a remedy that has cured patients after other treatments failed. She notes two to three bottles relieve pain restore appetite and strength, leading to recovery, with the product offered for sale.
Dr. Deyoe, Surgeon-in-Chief of the Inter-State Association of Pane Expert Specialists, offers guaranteed cures in chronic diseases including epilepsy cancer skin and nerve disorders. He claims success in early consumption and nervous ailments, with private confidential examinations and a $50 fee for any failed case.
Washington May 11 The Morgat Cuban resolution dominates senate debate with opposition claims that the move would risk Spanish relations and foreign loans. Hale argues it harms the president while Turpie and Morgan dispute the loan motive and insist other grounds exist. White of California challenges executive role in belligerency recognition. Morrill to speak. possible vote on Hale’s referral motion amid routine senate and house business.
The Supreme Court ruled for Bell and Berlinger in the Great Bell telephone suit, finding the US charge of patent office corruption for Berliner devices unproven. It states Berliner rights are independent, Bell’s patent expired but protection for the inventor remains. Justice Brewer notes invention is property of the inventor and government must prove delay was caused by the applicant’s conduct.
The passage suggests that efforts to invalidate the patent aimed to favor private competitors of the Bell company. It argues the moves were not for public good but to promote rival interests and devalue Bell.

Judge Stover issues an injunction requiring all convention delegates to be admitted in good standing. Excluded AFM delegates are recognized as members in good standing. charters of local lodges affiliated with AFL may not be revoked. Proceedings to be expunged. a six month interim convention to be called. Delegates from both factions ratified an agreement to cover all litigation and hotel expenses from the association fund. The vote to void recent elections is limited to the secretary’s election. a new convention is to be called after six months.
May 11 reports Mayor Harrison refused to intervene with Goose is and tanneries over sanitation claims raised by a striking tannery committee led by Adam Mendhe. Health inspectors found the tannery buildings sanitary, despite protests that new workers are forced to sleep inside the facilities.
Reports from Volo say Greeks deserted by troops anger residents as Turks advance. French French and Italian British guardships stay. arms and ambulances captured. Turks occupy heights near Pharsalos, rail traffic disrupted by removed engines. Turkish officers complain of Greek non resistance. some view this as only a military promenade rather than war.

Cleveland May 11 The circuit court discharged editor Post who had been arrested and convicted for contempt of court after writing an editorial criticizing court methods and Judge Lamson. The case was dismissed and Post was discharged.
