Closing Board of Trade quotations for May wheat and commodities show slight shifts with May wheat at 1.034 and July at 0.824, corn around 28 and 28.1, pork futures near 9.35 to 9.40, lard and ribs at 5.00. Union Stock Yards notes hogs steady to weak, cattle steady, sheep strong, with 24,000 hogs and 16,000 sheep traded. Freeport market letter reports wheat gains erasing and local activity mixed. July wheat near 2.31, corn up 4-4, provisions higher early then eased. hog receipts 24,000 with forecast 26,000 tomorrow. Chicago receipts show daily car counts for wheat 68, corn 7, oats 16. Northwestern receipts sample and primary receipts indicate large year-over-year increases in wheat and corn inventories.
