In Rock Castle county three men were shot during a vigilantism night as a mob disrupted law and order. A local woman was whipped for selling liquor while authorities moved to quell the outlaw band blamed for terror. Seventeen men were arrested after a crackdown led to confessions and promises to break up the group.
