President-elect McKinley is in excellent health as he and President Cleveland discuss plans for the inauguration day. Mrs Cleveland hopes to visit Mrs McKinley when she recovers. Late afternoon conferences at McKinley’s rooms focus on cabinet appointments. Bliss has reconsidered and agreed to join McKinley’s cabinet.
A brief note indicates that an individual will exercise tomorrow and will not receive visitors. No other details are provided about location or reason.
Ohioans report ex Congressmen Bellamy Storer nearly chosen as assistant secretary of state to relieve Senator Sherman. Health concerns for Sherman drive search for experienced leaders. Hitt was approached, and John Hay was discussed as a possible alternative for a higher post.

Washington March 3 President-elect McKinley was presented with a diamond badge the official emblem Sigma Alpha Epsilon by officers of the order at the Ebbitt house this morning He is a member of the fraternity and will wear the badge when inaugurated tomorrow.
