Internment of Russian War Vessels at Manila Harbor

In Washington on June 6 the fate of Russian cruisers in Manila Bay was clarified. Acting Secretary Loomis said the ships would be interned if they did not leave within 24 hours, to await the end of hostilities. Major General Corbin answered Rear Admiral Enquist’s call as a 13 gun salute marked his departure from the Russian flagship. Demand for Free Delivery Services Expands Across Districts

Washington reports show continued strong demand for rural free delivery with 4 708 petitions for new services and 2 178 existing routes. Fatal Michigan storm sweeps half mile wide path

A severe electrical storm in Michigan charged through Tuxcata and Sanilac counties creating a half mile wide destruction zone.
