Atlantic City July 31 A Reading railroad express slammed into a Pennsylvania excursion train four miles from the city. Up to about one hundred killed or injured with twenty seven dead on the first relief train. Engineer Edward Farr killed, another railroad man killed, and a rescue effort ongoing as bodies are recovered from the wreckage.

Weadly Accident on the Chutes at Lake Ottozee
A fatal incident at a Lake Ottozee summer resort during a Sunday school picnic left four dead and a fifth near death. Thirteen children rode the chutes when a row boat crossed their path causing a collision in the water.
