Sewell Nominated for Vice President by Democratic Convention

The Democratic National Convention in Cottago, on the fifth ballot, nominates Arthur Sewell of Maine for vice president after a long roll call. McLean and Sibley receive sizable support before Sewell is declared the nominee and the convention adjourns at 8:15 p.m.
