Destruction Rakes Through Center City Fire in Philadelphia
A blaze began in a Market Street cellar at 6:60 yesterday and swept a large block, threatening City Hall and Wanamaker’s store. The Wanamaker tower was destroyed with clocks and chimes, while losses range from 1 million to 2.5 million, largely insured.
