JOE RANKIN DIES AT MANITOWOC AGE 60

Wisconsin Congressman Joseph Rankin died in Manitowoc after weeks of illness from Brights disease. Born in New Jersey he served in the Wisconsin legislature eleven years and in Congress from the Eighth district. He collapsed delirious while recounting colleagues and farewell to his two children Jennie and Joy, then died at 1:55 pm. Funeral plans include special train escorts from Milwaukee to Manitowoc with services beginning Thursday afternoon.
