Illinois Governor Elect Marries Cora English at St Pauls

The governor elect John R Tanner and Miss Cora Edith English wed at St Pauls Springfield in a high noon ceremony conducted by Bishop Seymour. Attended by national and state leaders, the event drew crowds despite drizzle. The gown was white mirrored velour with lilies of the valley. reception included elaborate dining and music by an orchestra. The couple depart for their four year tenure at the executive mansion and will receive many wedding gifts.
