May Settle Divorce Case In Newport Hearing

New York Dec 15 Special. The divorce case of Waldo H Stearns against Mrs Jere mia Stearns sister of Blanche Chese brough Molineux Scott is expected to be entered as settled when called today in Newport courts. Incidents from the Rol and B Molineaux trial were seen at the Stearns villa in Jamestown where the couple visited. Mrs Stearns two decades younger petitioned for divorce on non support but the hearing never occurred. Last spring Mr Stearns and his wife filed for divorce on desertion and a statutory offense.

Pfister a prominent businessman not guilty of larceny as bailee of $14 000 belonging to the Wisconsin Rendering company. Postmaster Northrup Held on $300 Bonds in Fraud Case

Ashton postmaster Northrup was brought to Freeport by Deputy U S Marshal Mack on charges of fraud in money order issuance. Inspector Dement initiated the case and Northrup appeared before U S Commissioner Green, bound over to the federal grand jury. Bonds set at $300, furnished by an Ashton businessman. Amount involved fixed at $936, which has been replaced. Northrup contends he is only technically guilty.

Mrs. Geo J Dehn Dies After Long Illness at 37

Mrs Elizabeth Magdalene Dehn wife of prominent businessman George J Dehn died at 4 am at the North Galena avenue home after a brief illness since Thanksgiving eve She battled illness since July rising from a previous bout with peritonitis Her death occurred with her husband mother brother and sister at her bedside She was 37 born April 27 1868 in Freeport daughter of Captain Jacob Weishar and Anna Weishar Survived by mother and husband and three siblings Funeral arrangements not yet made due to Rev Father Croke's absence.

Mrs G M Holley visited Freeport and the Lena and Holly Grove M E churches sent a box to Albuquerque containing more than a dozen quilts. Mesdames Geo Sheeny and Geo Sherry visited the county seat.
