Beef trust trial moves toward jury issues

Merriweather Sentenced For Fist Fight At Naval Academy

Washington December twelve special midshipman Merriweather was sentenced to one year confinement at the naval academy and to a public reprimand by the secretary of the navy. He was acquitted of manslaughter but found guilty of violating naval regulations against midshipmen engaging in fisticuffs.
