Cuban uprising claims shock city as commander arrests suspect

Mother's Terrible Deed Kills Herself and Child

Frank Brooks returns home to 157 Russell Street Detroit to find his wife shot dead in one room and their 9-year-old daughter dead in another. Dr Oliver Bell of 1501 Russell Street was also shot as Mrs Brooks opened fire after inviting him in. Elo, who treated the wounded physician, reports the incident. Mrs Brooks later fled to Windsor Ontario, leaving no police report. The motive is stated in a note where she says she was tired of life and going to heaven. Dr Bell cannot explain why Mrs Brooks acted.
