Cyclone Season Opens With Deadly Storm Near Onawa

A tornado 20 miles east of Onawa Iowa last night destroyed Geo Ferrin’s house near Ute. A ten year old boy died instantly, and Mr and Mrs Ferrin plus five daughters are not expected to survive. The Onawa Times reports several deaths including Hans Severson and Perrin and an Amerston who was carried into the river with a broken arm along with multiple injuries.
