Spectacles Restore Sight for Ill. Man in 1893

In Morpgis Illinois on April 28 1893 a man recalls receiving two pairs of spectacles fitted by Dr M B Moses of Chicago about three years earlier. He was totally blind in one eye and a cataract in the other before the glasses restored his sight.

Chandler Seeks to Seize Armor Plant for Navy Use

Senator Chandler introduced two bills authorizing the secretary of the navy to take possession of Bethlehem and Carnegie armor plants to manufacture armor plates for ships Alabama Illinois and Wisconsin.
