Explosion at Atnestone quarries injures workers
A dynamite blast at 4 am at the Atnestone quarries of the E. G. Brooke company on the Schuylkill side fatally injures three men and wounds many others. About thirty nine Italian workers were present under superintendent Zachary Williams. The blast wrecked the blacksmith shop and injured or dismembered several. Wounded were taken to a nearby farmhouse for treatment by city surgeons.
