Second Week Of Shop Strike At Drifton
The Drifton shop strike enters its second week with gains from those who continued working while others quit. The company posted a broad reorganization notice citing permanent closing of the foundry and pattern shop and shedding multiple job categories. Many locals view the move as a bluff, and hopes rise for a settlement soon as machinery and Coxe residences show neglect.
