Marchers Attack Upper Lehigh Homes in Night Ridicule
A band of unknown men attacked William Hoffman and William B Betterly residences in Upper Lehigh at about 1 am. Hoffman escaped with his father while the Betterly home occupants, including Mrs. Betterly and her six year old, faced a frenzied assault. Windows were shattered, furniture overturned, and a small fire started but extinguished.
