Moody replies to Lanham over road contracts and funds
Texas Attorney General Dan Moody issued a formal rejoinder to Frank Lanham of the highway commission. He argued contracts for road maintenance in 35 counties were voidable and cited highway fund disbursements totaling 16.24 million dollars through October with a remaining balance of about 727 thousand dollars. Moody noted a potential taxpayer impact of roughly 161 thousand dollars and defended his legal position on bid practices and contract awards.
