Rains Boost Texas Wildlife Nesting Prospects

The Texas Game and Fish Commission says recent rains aid wildlife across most of the state including quail morning dove and turkey. The Hill Country, which supplies about ninety percent of Texas turkeys, shows improved nesting but drought lingers in South and West Texas. The rain feeds food and cover for deer and other game and provides needed water, though some areas still suffer drought.
