Construction Work Underway On Humble Station
Construction is underway on the Humble Pump Station near Eckert on the Llano Highway with completion expected by mid June. Foreman F W Culwell said the site includes a 30 000 barrel steel overflow tank and five cottages for staff on a 15 acre tract. the western end pump station joins with an 370 mile pipeline from Kemper to Satsuma with testing before starting oil flow at 135 000 barrels per day.

Raymond Stehling Injured In East Texas Truck Crash
Raymond Stehling 23 was critically injured early Friday when his empty trailer truck collided with a stalled vehicle 22 miles east of Bryan near North Zulch on US 190. He, a Stein Lumber driver en route to Camden to load lumber, was thrown from the cab. He received arm head and leg injuries and was hospitalized in Bryan with transfusions from family and company staff. The tractor was a total loss and returned to Fredericksburg.
