Laura Davis, a 19 year old Edinburg Junior College student, died after a monster rattlesnake bit her on a brush trail near her family home. An inquest returned a verdict of snake bite death with she living five to six hours afterward. Survived by her parents Mr and Mrs W J Davis and siblings.

Dallas Texas June 21 eight cases of a virulent throat disease found in one block. Officials say the outbreak is not quarantined after the death of Katherine Sherman 19.
