The Round Up in the Lava Beds Desert Chase
Dick wanders the southwestern desert pursued by Jack and Slim Hoover as Army detachments pursue Apaches led by Colonel Marcie. The chase through lava beds and canyons spans lava beds, water shortages, and signal-fire scouts, culminating in Jack revealing a wife’s demand and a cliffhanger reunion between Dick and Jack.
