Fredericksburg volunteers answered two calls in the past week. A fatal accident on U S 290 early Sunday and a fire at the Security State Bank and Trust Building Monday afternoon. A torch ignited wood in the wall near ongoing construction but caused no damage.

County School Board Grants Lands Transfer
The County School Board granted the petition of landowners from the former Pilot Knob School District to transfer their land to the Harper Independent School District after a hearing with petitioners and both district boards present.
