Landua Friedrich engagement announced in Texas
Mr and Mrs Daniel Landua of Hamilton announce the engagement of their daughter Laurel Jane Landua to Hein rich Friedrich. They plan to wed July 20 at St Martin s Lutheran Church in Austin. Laurel is a Hamilton High School graduate and Texas Lutheran College alumna active in Sigma Tau Sorority and works as a stenographer for the State Highway Department in Austin. Hein rich is a Fredericksburg High School graduate and University of Texas student who works summers at Nelson Davis in Austin. Also noted, Mrs Bertha Magford Moore recently received a seven year merit pin at Kerrville State Hospital where she serves as Nursing Service Supervisor.

PTA Story Hour Opens July 2 At Pioneer Library
The PTA Story Hour for children ages 5 to 9 begins Tuesday July 2 at the Pioneer Memorial Library. Sessions run weekly through July and August from 10 to 11 AM with Mrs. Jack Stehling leading the first session and a different leader each week.

Mrs Rossman Attends DRT Meeting in San Antonio
Mrs William Rossman attended the DRT State Board of Management session in the Ming Room at the Menger Hotel June 18 19. Twenty five officers attended as 25 committees were set and reports given while DRT custodianship of the Alamo the DRT Museum French Legation and other sites was noted. Descendants of heroes were asked to register in a special book at the Alamo Tuesday night. Miss Julie Rossman attended the garden supper with her mother.
