Music Workshop Opens Near Stonewall With Plans for Growth
The Hill Country Music Workshop near Stonewall enters its second summer with Miss Gayle J. Segraves as administrator and instructor. Two two week sessions start June 11 and June 25 at a Stonewall area farm house donated for the camp. Approximately 50 students are expected to attend with tuition set at 50 dollars per week while some in-kind trades fund part of the program. Free public concerts are planned at LBJ State Park and pianist James Dick will join the camp for a concert on Sunday July 2 with several of his students.

Tank drop incident near Fredericksburg during training flight
An RF-4C Phantom II on a routine training mission apparently released fuel tanks at about 18,000 feet near Fredericksburg. No injuries or major damage reported, two spans of power lines down, one cabin without power briefly. Eyewitnesses and responders praised local fire units and authorities for their efficient handling.
