Pension Checks Mailed This Week for Texas Aged
More than 100,000 aged Texans will receive state and federal pension checks by week’s end. Acting director W A Little said federal funds were granted to match state money and total $1,343,205 for the final April to June payment. Fair Horse Owner Dies In Blaze At Race Plant
W. R. Locklear a 60 year old race horse operator was burned to death when a stable barn at the Sarsen racing plant in Omaha Nebraska burned Sunday Ed Kelley of Fort Worth Texas also died in the blaze. Another died later from injuries. Seventy five horses perished and property loss was placed at 125000 to 175000. Locklear was father of San Saba high school football coach A F Locklear.
