Music Study Club Hosts Guest Tea in Milam Hall
The Music Study Club held a tea in Milam Hall on Tuesday May 25 with remarks by Mrs Jerald Jenkins on the University Interscholastic League music section. Rebecca Klett won first in piano with Bartoks Clashing Sounds while Therese Hein earned first on Bach Two Part Inventions though she did not perform. Vocalists Kevin Hartmann Trudy Jander and Bobby Payne performed pieces and the Phillips sisters and Jet Jenkins sang an a capella number. The Baptist Church Girls Ensemble and the FHS Choir also performed with the latter qualifying for the regional contest. Club president Mrs Erna Heinen thanked Mrs Jenkins and the students. A brief business meeting preceded refreshments served by several members.

Fred ericksburg High School senior Charles Koennecke was honored by his parents Mr and Mrs Chester Koennecke with a graduation party Sunday May 23 at their home. The serving table featured lace over white linen with red and white rose centerpiece and miniature diplomas in a blue vase. Red candles in crystal holders flanked the arrangement.
