The marriage was solemnized at the bride’s aunt Mrs. Win Kiehne’s home on Sunday at 1 pm. Rev M O Puhl performed the ceremony with ferns and cut flowers in the parlor and dining room. The bride wore white silk crepe de chine, orange blossom wreath, and a bouquet of roses valley lilies ferns. Guests included Emilie Keidel I, Mathilde Lucas, Lillian Wilke of Comfort, and Fritz Stieler of Comfort. A wedding dinner followed with an ice course later. The couple, daughter and son of Fredericksburg residents, received many presents and best wishes for a prosperous life.

Doss Texas Ladies Shooting Prize Results and Death Notice

Woman bit by copperhead at Palo Alto home
Mrs. G. Gam enthaler residing on Palo Alto was bitten on the right index finger by a rattlesnake in her corn crib on Wednesday. Medical aid was given at once and though very painful, no serious consequences followed.

The Kelly-Atkinson Construction Company of Chicago has contracted to build twenty cargo carrying steamers for the government at a total of $9,000,000. Each vessel will be partly wood and partly steel, with a tonnage of 3,500.
