Jost Brown Wedding Charivari Honors New Couple

Aug Jost and Ida Brown wed before the Holy Ghost Church pastor on Sunday night. Neighbors toasted the couple at their former home with a friendly gathering. Over two score guests including Cherry Mountain Brass Band attended a merry charivari with music and lighthearted laughter. Cats provided by the guests were served at a late hour.

Beginning July 1, under the Public School Auxiliary, a weekly play night will be held at Courthouse Park from 8 to 10 p.m. Miss Myrtle Mathiesen oversees with assistants. The directors of the Chamber of Commerce appoint a committee to regulate and condemn fake life insurance agents and misleading policies. The move seeks endorsements from the Chamber's Soliciting Committee, guiding the public to donate only to bona fide solicitations while protecting Gillespie County residents. Dwelling Destroyed in Fire at Thom as Martin Home

A two story house in Hahne Addition east of town, owned by Alfred P. C. Petsch but formerly the Thom as Martin home and occupied by E. G. Fehrenbach, burned late Wednesday afternoon after a gasoline stove exploded. Losses range from 5000 to 6000 for the building with 3750 insured, furniture and apparel loss around 4000 with 2000 insured. Gas explosion cited as the cause. rapid spread due to flames. CO- Mr. A.
