Indictments Wrap Texas Officials Over Libel Charges
Waco Rev. Copeland indicted on 11 counts of criminal libel against Sheriff Stegal City Commissioner Tinsley chief of police Barron district judge Munroe city recorder Wills and city health nurse Hague. Deputy Todd indicted for slander against Hague. Grand jury cleared several officers of wrongdoing. Copeland renewed charges from the pulpit last Sunday.
