Doss Lutheran Church Altar to Be Re Decorated
Work will begin soon on redecorating the altar of Doss Lutheran church in gold and silver. The altar was handmade by Rev. Meyer about forty years ago. The church was built of native stones by the congregation under superintendent Charles Feuge of Fredericksburg. Funds for the painting were donated by the Ladies Aid. A San Antonio firm won the decorating contract. Mrs Karl Martin Sr of Mason donated the altar scarf and the bell was given to the congregation by the late Capt Charles Schreiner of Kerrville.
