Subscribed donors including Bank of Fredericksburg Citizens Bank and many local firms financed eight Jersey Bulls bought for area farmers. W J Schroeder, chair of agriculture, issued 40 percent refunds to donors and praised the measure as highly appreciated by both businessmen and farmers.

Mrs Paul Hohenberger Dies at 39 in Local Sanitarium
Mrs Paul Hohenberger nee Sophia Ruebsahm died Thursday morning at the Kei del and Wittee Sanitarium at nine. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 pm from her parents home, Emil Ruebsahm and wife. Interment followed in the city cemetery. Obituary in next issue.

Glee Club of University of Texas to Tour Texas Cities
The University of Texas Men’s Glee Club under manager John Guinn will perform in Fredericksburg on Friday December 7 as the winter tour opener. The 26 member group will be hosted by Fredericksburg High School seniors and later perform at Howard Payne College in Brownwood. The itinerary includes Abilene Mineral Wells Mexia Denton Hillsboro Belton and possibly one more town with a two hour program featuring solos and the Longhorn quartet. The group departs Austin December 7 and returns December 15 after concerts in Belton.

Mrs Minna Loeffler died about 6 o clock Monday at the home of Mrs Hierman Standke in Art after months of illness. Funeral Tuesday at 10:30 a m at the Mason Methodist church. Born Fredericksburg December 21 1853 she was 74 years 11 months and 5 days. Survived by twelve children nine living including Mrs Herman Standke Art Mrs Dan Rothmann Mrs Louis Wissemann Hilda Albert Mason Emil Bertha Neal Robert Alvin Junction and Miss Selma Loeffler Brownwood. Also survived by 354 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren three brothers and one sister. Burial at Gooch cemetery. Pall bearers Silas Milton Rudolph Loeffler Gus Standke Ernst Elo Rothmann. Family details list additional siblings and predeceased relatives.

Obituary of Henry Herbert Seventy-Seven Years of Life in Gold
Henry Herbert born April 12 1857 in Cave Creek died aged 75 or 78? He married Louise Lange on June 29 1882. He farmed in Gold Texas and is survived by widow six children eleven grandchildren two brothers four sisters a daughter-in-law and three sons-in-law. Funeral at Cave Creek Lutheran Church conducted by Rev W Flachmeier. He was esteemed as civic leader and friend to the editor of the Standard.
