Highest Vote In History Cast In Tuesday Election
Fredericksburg voters cast their heaviest ballot in history as Mayor Joe Molberg was reelected for a two year term. Otto Schneider and Ed Apelt were elected to commissioner posts with Molberg leading all candidates. A total of 822 votes set a new city high, with Molberg garnering 493 votes and Schneider 522 in the commission race.

Hicks Frost Auto Collision Case Settled Out of Court
The civil suit by P. C. Hicks and Marie Hicks against Cheslyan H. Frost over a 1944 auto collision near here was settled out of court with Hicks awarded 15000 dollars. Negotiations began last week. District Judge Tom Ferguson announced the jurors needed for the trial would not need to appear on Monday April 12. Attorneys for the plaintiffs were Morris Morris and Boatwright of San Antonio, Herman Usener and Alfred Petsch.
