Proposals Extended for Ches. and Ohio Canal Works
The Ches. and Ohio Canal Company in Washington extends proposal deadlines due to weather. Proposals for the dam across the Potomac and the aqueduct across Catoctin Creek now due February 20, and for works between Point of Rocks and Harper's Ferry due March 10. Contracts between Point of Rocks and Harper’s Ferry head will be announced March 17 at the canal office. A portion already prepared for contractor inspection.
