Utica Mills Covered Bridge to Be Restored for Century More
The Utica Mills Covered Bridge on Utica Road, built in 1843 and wrecked by floods, is undergoing a major restore by Arnold M. Graton Associates with Thurmont subcontractors. Cribbing lifts, salvage of original siding, and new wood and a shingle roof will extend its life to about 100 more years.
