Trains Return to Window Display in Frederick Center
Wendell C. Hoover set up an American Flyer model train display in a Homewood Retirement Center window in downtown Frederick. He owns about 60 engines and 300 cars. The exhibit stirred memories of family Christmas train sets, with cars from postwar Japan houses and the 1952 Pacific steam engine as a favorite. The scene marked a first window display in years and drew residents, families, and Mayor Jim Games.
