Jefferson School dedicates campus as capital drive nears goal
Hundreds attend the Jefferson School dedication ceremony amid praise from Lt Gov Townsend and Caspar R Taylor Jr. The event marks a $1 million Weinberg Foundation challenge grant and a capital campaign aiming for $25 million to support treatment for emotionally disturbed children. The school, part of Sheppard Pratt Health System, houses residences for youth with specialized units, including trauma stabilization and a unit for sexual offenders, with plans for Dedication Grove and a time capsule.
