Tours of Coweeta Lab Draw Visitors From Many Nations
More than 700 people will visit the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory between now and mid October. Foresters from Greece Yugoslavia Austria Germany Holland France and Italy are slated to tour Coweeta in July with interpreters. Tomorrow about 150 Clay County farmers will visit the lab. A 30 member Emory University resource-use workshop will tour July 2. A joint American and North Carolina Forestry associations meeting in Asheville October 12-15 will include a lab tour. The day’s program will feature demonstrations observations land discussions on land use soil loss and water quantity with about 10 buses used for transportation. The Fifth Sunday singing convention will be held at the courthouse June 29 at 10 a.m. All singers and the public are invited.

Flying Rock Injuries May Flight to Tennessee for Treatment
Clint May, a state highway employee and Nantahala resident, sustained a serious head injury from a dynamite blast on Otter Mountain road. He was hit by a flying rock while behind a tree and rushed to Andrews Hospital, then moved to Callanooga, Tennessee, with hoped return home this week. Brother Bruce K. Curd and his family will arrive in Franklin Tuesday to serve as full time minister of the Church of Christ.

Gospel Quartet Set to Sing at Totla School Event
The Modern Gospel quartet from Toccoa Georgia will perform at Totla school Saturday night at 8 pm to benefit the school.
