Nine States Men Aid Wayah Bald Scout Expedition

Captain James V. Patton, son of JA Patton of Franklin, has been selected to attend the second class of the Army Air Racial School at Tyndall Field Florida. George H. H., longtime Franklin district school principal, was elected principal of Robbinsville school. He will move with his family to Robbinsville around late July. Robbinsville, larger than Franklin, employs 35 teachers to Franklin’s 29. He succeeds J. D. Warrick. W. H. Finley becomes supervising principal of Franklin schools, a role he held 1940s.
