Macon Towns Receive 10000 For Streets Maintenance

Bids Invited for Macon County School Buildings

Macon County Board of Education will open bids at 2 p.m. July 18 for Franklin High School East Franklin Elementary Highlands and Nantahala combination school projects. Revival services begin at Friendship Tabernacle

An interdenominational county revival opens at Friendship Tabernacle with Rev Grady Wilson of Charlotte, associate of Billy Graham, preaching. North Carolina Forest Seedlings Planted In 1949

North Carolina planted 6,188,400 forest seedlings last year according to U S Forest Service and the North Carolina Division of Forestry. The effort cooperated in production and distribution. Seedlings were set on more than 6,000 acres of unproductive land and are expected to mature in 15 to 20 years for thinning and profit with periodic cutting thereafter.
