Auto Drivers Licenses Soon To Be Ready
ASHEVILLE June 21 The new statewide automobile drivers licenses authorized by the recent legislature will be ready for distribution here in about 10 days. Lieut. L. R. Fisher of the state highway patrol has announced. The licenses will be distributed free by the state patrol to all motorists applying before November 1. After then a fee of 2 will be charged.

Funeral Held for Mrs Moses in Ellijay Community
Funeral services for Mrs. D J Moses who died after a long illness were held Monday afternoon conducted by Rev John Steward of Asheville. The choir led by O C Corbin sang three of her favorite hymns at Sugar Fork cemetery burial. Born Edith Leonora Brown in Tuckaseegee Jackson county on September 21 1868 she married D J Moses April 3 1890. Survived by her husband eight children 28 grandchildren and five sisters.

Escaped Prisoner Captured Near Aquone in Georgia
Captured Woodrow Dillard, who escaped from Macon county jail in December, was seized Saturday morning at his home near Aquone by Deputy Sheriff John Dills. Since A. B. Slagle became sheriff, 1 of 13 jailbreakers has been caught and returned to custody. Dillard escaped with Clyde Conley by sawing cell bars. Conley remains at large on a charge of breaking into Howard's store at Aquone.

Improving Admiral McCully Leaves Hospital Soon
Admiral Newton Alexander McCully retired U S Navy entered Angel hospital for treatment Wednesday of last week and is reported to be recovering well. Dr Furman Angel said the former Atlantic fleet commander, 67, may leave in two to three weeks after undergoing two operations this week. He was brought from Highlands and showed courage and stamina during treatment.
