Delegates Named for Women’s and Boys’ State Programs
In Sancon County the Woman’s College Steenuboro will host delegates for Girls’ State led by Mrs Charlotte McDonald. Three boys Richard Jones, Herbert McKelvey, and Pat Pattillo were chosen as Boys’ State delegates to the University of North Carolina based on scholarship leadership and citizenship. Girls’ State runs Monday through Saturday at the college while Boys’ State starts Sunday and continues through next Sunday. Delegates will visit the state capital to meet officials and learn government procedures.
