Post war rehabilitation of Nantahala National Forest continues with Arrowood Glade now open for the season. The pool has been enlarged with a new sand beach and diving platform installed. Landscape architect J Clinton Johnson notes construction came from the pool bottom and mentions the site along the Franklin road. The Rev A Rufus Morgan of Franklin represents Western North Carolina at the University of the South trustees meeting in Sewanee on June 7.

The Van Raalte company announced plans to select 20 to 25 women for glove sewing in the Leach building next week with production slated for July. B Walter Maebert will manage.
