John Temple Graves is slated to address the De Soto celebration in Franklin on June 25 at noon near the Little Tennessee river bridge on U S Highway 23. William Pierce Deal 87 dies in Holly Springs home
William Pierce Deal 87 died at his Holly Springs home Saturday afternoon after a six month illness. A lifelong farmer and community figure, he married Lydia Berry in 1883, who preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. James Vinson and others officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery while nephews served as pallbearers.
