Rufus Ray Dies at Clark's Chapel Farm and carpenter veteran
Rufus Ray aged 70 died suddenly of a heart attack while living in Franklin County. Services were held Tuesday at Clark's Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Phillip L. Greene in charge, burial in the church cemetery. He was a farmer and carpenter, born April 27 1870 in Burningtown Macon County, lifelong resident. Survived by four sons Oliver Mann Jin and Robert and Frank, two daughters Mrs George Dowdle and Miss Allie Kay, one brother Emeress Ray, three sisters, and 23 grandchildren with three great grandchildren.
