Town Office Moves to Bank Building Quarters

Selective Service Calls 15 Raleigh Men for Induction
The Selective Service Board announced a call for 15 white men from the Raleigh office to be inducted on January 14. Names will be released later, said Mes Gilmer Jones, clerk of the Board. Mrs Allman Defense Star, aged 87, longtime Franklin Methodist Church member, was laid to rest at the churchyard last Sunday afternoon. Mary Johnston Allman died Saturday, December 12, at 9:15 p.m. at the home of her kinsman John O Harrison after years of declining strength.
